Brevard County Disposal Facility Van Tour

Join the ASCE Space Coast Branch for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Brevard County Disposal Facility!

This is a great opportunity to learn about the engineering, logistics, and sustainability efforts behind Brevard’s solid waste and recycling operations.

We’ll learn how the facility protects public health by providing an efficient and environmentally sound Solid Waste Management System for Brevard County. We will also explore how materials are sorted, processed, and prepared for reuse – from curbside collection to baled commodities ready for market. Facility staff will guide us through the site and answer questions about system design, processing technology, and environmental impact.

Please note: This is a van tour (limit 14 attendees per tour) and we will not be exiting the vehicle during the tour.
